Drop in Lampasas water restrictions likely

The city of Lampasas is yet to follow suit with the Kempner Water Supply Corp. in reducing the water restrictions imposed on customers. The Lampasas City Council, however, is expected to weigh in at Monday’s regular meeting on possibly downgrading the restrictions.

Casino Night fundraiser, auction on tap

Candidate forum slated

The Lampasas County Republican Party, along with the Texas First Conservative Alliance, will host a Republican candidate forum at the old Lampasas Middle School cafeteria building on Feb. 20. The event is slated to begin at 6 p.m. and run for about two hours.

LHS students earn medals at UIL academics meet

The Lampasas High School UIL Academics students competed Feb. 3 at an invitational meet at Waco Midway High School to sharpen their skills and improve scores before the district competition later this spring.

Lampasas County 27th District Court convened last week with Judge John Gauntt presiding over the day’s hearings. Defendant Andrew James Galvan of Copperas Cove was sentenced to 10 years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice on a charge of aggravated sexual assault of a child.
