The annual Lampasas County Farm Bureau convention drew a large crowd to the Lampasas County Show Barn on Oct. 8 for a fried catfish meal, a presentation by the guest speaker and a business session to elect new directors.

Range Tour set at Motl Ranch

The 2024 Lampasas & Mills County Range Tour will be offered at the Motl Ranch outside of Lampasas Oct. 28. The ranch address is 8218 County Road 1255.Registration at the gate begins at 8:30 a.m., with the program to extend from 9 a.m. to noon. Cost is $20.

Key Club assists at women’s event

The MORE women’s event, held Oct. 7 at The Adelphia, was a big success again this year, organizers said. On hand to assist with parking were Key Club students, from left, Kaylee Pentz, Seth Kachel, Yoseline Montiel, Izzy Fuller and Makenna Kachel.
