Lampasas County 27th District Court convened last week with Judge Debbie Garrett presiding over the day’s hearings.Defendant Jimmy Lee Kernes of Lampasas entered a plea of guilty to a charge of possession of a controlled substance less than 1 gram.

Anniversary of V-E Day recognized this week

Thursday, May 8, marked the 80th anniversary of Victory in Europe Day, the date on which “The Allied Armies, through sacrifice and devotion and with God’s help, have won from Germany a final and unconditional surrender,” as then-President Harry Truman said in 1945.

Commencement scheduled for Badger Stadium

Graduation ceremonies for the Lampasas High School Class of 2025 will be held May 16 at 7:30 p.m. at Badger Stadium. Gates will open at 6 p.m.Seating is available on a firstcome, first-served basis with no reserved seating.
