FLAGS AT OAK HILL CEMETERY Lampasas American Legion Post 277 will place flags on more than 1,000 graves of veterans buried at Oak Hill Cemetery in recognition of Memorial Day.Volunteers are welcome to join on Saturday from 8-10 a.m. to assist with flag placement.

Casting brilliant light

For several weeks within the chapel of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Lampasas, one could hear the lyrical ring of French spoken under the dappled light filtering through the stained-glass windows. It was an experience harkening back to the chapels and cathedrals of the Old World.

Grant to provide life-saving devices

Two-day blood drive sees good turnout

The American Red Cross Community Blood Drive last week collected 72 units from donors.Donation appointments were available May 13-14 at First Street Church of Christ’s Family Life Center.

Time to cool off at the pool
