The LAFTA-sponsored Arts in the Park for Kids event took place Saturday, offering a variety of arts-related activities for youth such as this booth that utilized Play-Doh for expressive creations. The threat of inclement weather moved activities indoors at the former middle school cafeteria.

Honoring the civic service of Jerry Grayson

CEMETERY ASSOCIATIONS

The Naruna Cemetery Association annual meeting for members and anyone who has family buried in the cemetery will take place May 3 at 2 p.m. at the Naruna Baptist Church fellowship hall.The association will elect a treasurer at the meeting. Contact Betty Skinner at 512-564-1593 for more information.

Voters in the Lampasas Independent School District may begin casting their ballots on Monday in the bond election. Three propositions totaling $139.63 million are proposed.Early voting takes place at the Elections Office, 407 S. Pecan St. in Lampasas.
