Annual drive to benefit area children

Benton Chiropractic Clinic held its 24th annual toy drive on Dec. 5. On that day, Dr. Craig Benton exchanged a toy for a chiropractic treatment. The toys are given to the Lampasas Volunteer Fire Department, which distributes them to children in need in the community.

19 Badger Band members qualify for All-Region recognition

Members of the Lampasas High School Badger Band competed in All-Region auditions at Fredericksburg High School on Saturday. A total of 19 LHS students earned the All-Region title, with 10 of those advancing to area competitions after the Christmas break.

Lampasas County Farm Bureau had a large delegation in attendance at the 90th annual Texas Farm Bureau Convention held Dec. 1-3 in Frisco.

Gingerbread House Contest winners announced

The Gingerbread House decorating contest, sponsored by the Lampasas County Museum, took place during recent Carol of Lights festivities. Entries will remain on display until Dec. 16, when the museum closes before reopening after the first of the new year. Winners are listed below.

Taxidermist honored for her work
