With the local stock show season wrapping up, farm and ag folks may be looking forward to the next big ag event of the year: rodeo season. Summer, with all its rodeo events, will be here before you know it.

Pizza Hut named ‘Night Sky Friendly’ business

The Lampasas Pizza Hut has been awarded the Night Sky Friendly designation by the Lampasas County Friends of the Night Sky.The parking lot and outside building lights provide safety for customers while reducing glare and light pollution – factors considered in the award selection.

Numerous community members came to the Lampasas County Chamber of Commerce & Visitor Center Tuesday morning to show their support for the city’s newest mural. “All roads lead to Lampasas” is the 15th mural to be painted by Vision Lampasas.

Never rain on a kid's snowy parade

Road conditions were safe enough to send Lampasas ISD students to school on Tuesday. In other parts of Central Texas, however, classes were canceled due to a sleet-wintry mix or snow – whatever we want to call it.

Program offered to help manage concerns about falls

Do you or a family member have concerns about falling? Many older adults experience concerns and restrict their activities. “A Matter of Balance” is an award-winning program designed to manage falls and increase activity levels.“A Matter of Balance” includes eight sessions.

Knights of Columbus assists with needs for schoolchildren

To help children in the community, the Knights of Columbus Council #6278 at St. Mary's Catholic Church recently purchased 72 winter jackets.
