Fundraiser to benefit son of woman killed in I-14 collision

The family of a Lampasas woman killed on Interstate 14 in November is hosting a benefit for her young son. On Feb. 11 at 11 a.m., a benefit for the son of Corinna Lee Anne Nadine Pope will be held at Lampasas VFW Post 8539. Chili will be served until sold out, and a silent auction will be held.

Group pays tribute to nation’s heroes

Volunteers across the United States placed more than 2.7 million wreaths on veterans’ graves as part of the National Wreaths Across America event. The recognition takes place annually on the third Saturday of December.

Ketchum to lead national Young Farmers group

Clovia Ketchum of Bend has been installed as president of the National Young Farmers Education Association. She will serve until December 2023, at which time Texas will host the 2023 National Young Farmers Education Association Institute in College Station.
