The Lampasas boys’ golf team played in a tournament in Kingsland in late October where the Badgers finished third overall. In the individual standings, Peyton Spore placed fourth.

The Badgers traveled to Marble Falls for a second straight district road game, looking to get back in the win column after losing to Davenport. The halftime talk seemed to be the turning point in this game.

The Lady Badgers pulled off a come-from-behind win in their play-in game against Jarrell last Friday to clinch the fourth seed in district. That sets a matchup for tonight with the Salado Lady Eagles in the bidistrict round of the playoffs.

The Badgers are coming off their worst loss of the season – a 55-34 defeat to the Davenport Wolves. They now have to respond on the road this week against a tough Marble Falls team.

The Badger boys’ cross country team and senior Nyla Long from the girls’ varsity ran at the regional meet earlier this week in Huntsville. Long finished 20th out of 172 runners, missing her ticket to the state competition by just three places or seven seconds, according to Lampasas head coach Macey Siegert.
