With six seconds to go in the game Tuesday, the Killeen Kangaroos had scored to move ahead 55-54 over the Lampasas Lady Badgers. On the ensuing inbounds play, the Lady Roos had all their players pressed up and defending full court.

The Badgers were unable to score in the second half of their playoff matchup with Somerset, and that led to their 27-17 defeat at the Alamodome in San Antonio. A mistake right before halftime – a fumble on a kickoff – led to two Somerset touchdowns within 20 seconds right before the end of the second quarter.

The football postseason is here, and the Badgers face a tough test with the Somerset Bulldogs in the bidistrict round of the playoffs. The Bulldogs went 8-2 this year, 4-1 in district.
