The Badger baseball team took on Jarrell on the road last week, and errors once again led to Lampasas’ downfall. Into the third inning, the game was deadlocked at 0-0 before a few hits by the Cougars led to a three-run inning and put the Badgers behind.

Hornets continue success in tennis season

Lometa’s tennis season rolled on last Wednesday, with every Hornet recording a match victory at the Waco Regional Tennis Center tournament. Lometa competed against schools in much larger classifications, including Bosqueville, Moody and Lorena.

Lampasas fell to 0-2 in district baseball play after losing to Burnet at home on Tuesday night. The 10-3 final score didn’t tell the whole story, as two innings filled with defensive mistakes by the Badgers led to eight total runs for Burnet.

Badgers and Lady Badgers finish soccer seasons

The two Badger soccer teams played their final games of the season last Friday, with the boys hosting Academy and the girls on the road playing the Lady Bees. The Badgers picked up a big win, 3-0, on Senior Night.
