The Lady Badger varsity golf team shot 316 to take a 50-shot victory over Boerne in a tournament at Kingsland on Tuesday. Senior LeeAnn Parker led the way, shooting one under par, 71, to place second individually.

Cody Hinson is one of three Lampasas qualifiers to the upcoming regional cross country meet in Lubbock. Hinson placed third at the district race last week. Brooke Coffman and Raelean Sutton qualified for the Lady Badgers.

In the first scrimmages of the year, the Lady Badger basketball team competed closely with Copperas Cove and defeated Lometa. Their previously scheduled scrimmages last Saturday were canceled due to issues related to the coronavirus.

The Lampasas Middle School eighthgrade “A” team shut out Brownwood 14-0 to finish with a 6-2 record. LMS also allowed zero yards passing.
