Freshmen finish second as team in girls’ golf opener

The Lady Badgers’ second team, consisting of four freshmen, placed second out of 17 schools in the girls’ Badger Invitational on Thursday at Hancock Park Golf Course. Competing against varsity opponents, Lampasas shot 423 to finsh behind Marble Falls and three shots ahead of third-place Copperas Cove.

Dwamena dominates first half, LHS earns 1st district win

By halftime, Juliana Dwamena had accumulated 23 points, and she finished with a career-high 30 points as Lampasas hammered Brownwood 62-40 on Tuesday at home. The Lady Badgers’ first district win ended a five-game district losing streak and keeps them in playoff contention with two contests remaining.
