Lampasas High School junior linebacker Case Brister was named Defensive Player of the Year on the Waco-area all-smoaky.com Central Texas High School Football Team. Smoaky is named for ESPN Central Texas Program Director David Smoak.

Hornets, Eagles to square off in bi-district

Sports on hold until wintry weather relents

Badger and Lady Badger district soccer games orginally scheduled for last Friday have been postponed. At press time, it was not clear when any Lampasas sporting events would return, as school and extracurricular activities will depend on each day’s weather.

Middle-school basketball results

Lampasas Middle School earned basketball district championships in the eighth-grade “A” girls’, seventh-grade “A” boys’ and seventhgrade “B” boys’ divisions. The seventh-grade “A” girls were co-champions.
