LMS tops Salado 3-1 in soccer

The Lampasas Middle School boys’ soccer team took on district-leader Salado in action Monday, and dominated the game at home, coach Edward Gold said. LMS won 3-1.

Senior’s silver medal highlights track regionals

Lampasas High School senior Cade White captured second place in the long jump at the Region I-4A track and field competition, held Friday and Saturday in Lubbock. He posted a jump of 22’ 0.25” to earn the silver medal.

Hornets place but short of qualifying for state in track

Softball best-of-three playoff series starts Thursday

The Lady Badgers will play a best-of-three bi-district series against Burkburnett, starting with a Thursday game at 6 p.m. in Brock. Game two is Friday at 6 p.m. in Stephenville. If needed, game three will be Saturday at 1 p.m. in Brock. Lampasas has qualified for the playoffs seven years in a row (not counting 2020, when no playoffs were held).

Lady Badger tennis player places second at Gatesville

Caroline White placed second in seventh-grade girls’ singles at the Gatesville Middle School tennis tournament on Saturday. “She fought to come back from being down, but lost in a tie-breaker in the finals,” coach Laina White said.

Bull rider signs with Tarleton

Senior bull rider Riggen Hughes received an academic scholarship and merit scholarship to attend Tarleton State University and compete for the Texans’ rodeo program. He also was accepted to the honors program and will be majoring in mechanical engineering.

District baseball ends for runner-up Badgers
