LMS girls’ team, one Badger individual win at Lago Vista

Timber Gholson won the Lago Vista middle school boys’ golf tournament on Tuesday, and the LMS boys’ Blue Team placed second with a score of 221. The Blue Team included the following scores: Gholson 46, Jax Pratus 57, Carter Toups 57, Asher Harris 61 and Hagan Davis 63.

Jarrell defeats LMS soccer squads

Kelbie Black scored the Lady Badgers’ only goal in a 2-1 middle school soccer loss at Jarrell on Monday. The Lampasas Middle School boys lost 5-3 .

Martell ready for final stand in high school wrestling

Mia Martell is scheduled to compete in the first round of state wrestling at 11:30 a.m. April 24 against Burleson Centennial’s Brijatte Garcia. Martell placed third in the 165 class at regionals and is the only Lady Badger to advance to state in the four-year history of the program.

JV tennis wins district gold

The Lady Badgers brought home a first-place trophy from the JV tennis district tournament, played Monday in Brownwood. Haley Finley won district after starting out behind in her first match.

Golfers advance to state as two individuals score career-low

Elizabeth Cross shot her career-low 18-hole and 36-hole scores, and Kinsley Lindeman had her best 18- hole round at the regional golf tournament. Despite those scores and qualifying for the team’s fifth state appearance in seven years, coach Justin Schuzle said, “I’m definitely not going to say that we played our best golf this week.” Lampasas shot 320-326-- 646.

Off-season competition day
