Lampasas golfer Kenlee Turner was named player of the year for the Diamond Division of the Beltway Junior Golf Tour. This is her third straight year to earn player of the year honors.

The Lampasas Badgers are set to begin fall football practice in less than a week, with Monday listed as the first day. That date is nine days before the first scheduled scrimmage on Aug.

The Lampasas High School cheer team attended the Universal Cheerleaders Association camp at Angelo State University June 26-29. The varsity and junior varsity cheer squads, as well as Bailey the Badger, all participated, and many received awards, according to cheer coach Shannon Lindsey.

The Lampasas Soccer Association is seeking players for its boys’ 16U (born in 2007 and younger), 15U (born in 2008 and younger) and 13U (born in 2009 and younger) teams. LSA teams play in the Capital Area Youth Soccer Association leagues and travel to away games in the greater Austin area.
