The Badger and Lady Badger cross country teams have competed in two meets over the last couple of weeks. The first one was in McGregor on Sept.

The Lady Badgers lost in three sets to the Lake Belton Broncos on Friday. Those sets, however, do not show how close the match actually was, as all three sets were inside of two points near the end of each.

A hard-fought, four-set match concluded with a Lady Badger win at home on Tuesday. This comes on the heels of a five-set victory over Burnet last week.

The Lampasas Badgers are set to play game four of the season on Friday when the China Spring Cougars come to town. The Cougars are undefeated at 3-0, while the Badgers have a record of 1-2.

The Badger tennis team has won its first two tennis matches in district play after beating Glen Rose 13-6 on Tuesday. The Badgers once again started out well in doubles competition, going 5-2.

Lometa picked up a dominant win Sept. 10 to move to 2-0 on the year.

BY HUNTER KING | DISPATCH RECORD Lometa picked up a dominant win Friday to move to 2-0 on the year. The Hornets beat the Ranger Bulldogs 64-18 after Lometa missed action the prior week because of the number of COVID-19 cases.

The Wimberley Texans took a 45-21 win over the Badgers in their third game of the year, as Lampasas slipped to 1-2 in the nondistrict schedule. The Badgers started out hot after receiving the opening kickoff.

The Badger tennis squad had a great performance in its first district match of the season. Lampasas won the match 15-4 overall against Stephenville on the road.
