Badgers lose heartbreaker to Canyon Lake

Lampasas came up short in a tough loss Friday night to the Canyon Lake Hawks in the second-to-last district football game of the season. The Badgers took their final lead in the game with 10:02 left in the fourth quarter, when Dylan Sanchez slammed through a Canyon Lake defender from one yard out.

Canyon Lake will bring slot-T offense to Lampasas

The Badgers will face the Canyon Lake Hawks on Friday night as they push for the second spot in District 13-4A Division I. Canyon Lake will present a unique challenge for the Badgers with their slot-T style offense, which generates most of their yardage on the ground.

Runners compete at regionals

The Lampasas boys’ cross country team and a couple of Lady Badger runners ran in Lubbock on Monday at the regional meet and performed admirably. Abby Valdez finished 38th overall.

Badgers struggle in first district loss of the year
