The large crowd at the Badger Den Tuesday night erupted in cheers when the clock hit zero and the Badgers defeated the Glen Rose Tigers 72-69 in their second district contest of the year. Lampasas went on a 9-2 run to close the third quarter and led by three, 55-52, going into the final eight minutes of the game.

Wrestlers earn medals at Temple tournament

Multiple Lampasas wrestlers placed among the top three during a Temple wrestling meet over the weekend. Head coach Donovan Kleckner was happy with his team’s performance and said the wrestlers worked very hard.

Brownwood earns soccer win over LHS

The Lady Badgers suffered an 11-0 loss to Brownwood on the road Tuesday, but there was no quit in the team, Lampasas head coach Emma Sharp said. “Once again, the girls never gave up and encouraged each other all the way until the end of the game,” Sharp said.

Badgers secure win in overtime

The Badgers started their district basketball schedule the right way – by picking up a tight win over the Stephenville Yellowjackets, 59-56. The game required an overtime period to secure the victory.

Stephenville takes down Lady Badgers

The Lady Badgers suffered their first district loss of the season on the road against Stephenville on Friday, as the host team won 71-41. Lampasas fell in a big hole early, being outscored in the first quarter 26-11 and 18-6 in the second quarter.
