Ryan Fesler, still recovering from a hamstring strain, won the pole vault regional championship Saturday in Huntsville. He reached a height of 14'6" to become the Badgers' first pole vaulting state qualifier in four years. 

Caldwell beat Lampasas 15-10 in game one of the bi-district series, spreading runs fairly evenly across seven innings. Lampasas had a three-run inning in the fifth and a four-run inning in the sixth but could not overcome an early deficit.

Sloane Johnson drove in five runs.
