Lady Badgers fall to state-ranked team

The Lady Badger soccer team hosted the Lake Belton Lady Broncos for the second time this year and came out on the losing side. The 6-0 loss was a slight improvement over the 7-0 defeat the Lady Badgers suffered on the road earlier this season.

The Badgers hosted the 12-3 Salado Eagles on Friday, and they lost 7-0. “The scoreboard may not show it, but I do think that this was one of our best games of the year, teamworkwise,” Lampasas head coach Samuel Burnside said.

The Lady Badgers traveled to Salado to start the second half of district play against a very good Lady Eagles team. The game ended in a 4-1 loss for Lampasas, which was an improvement over the 6-0 loss from the first half of district.

Tennis competes at Copperas Cove tournament

The Lampasas tennis teams traveled to Copperas Cove on Friday for a tournament with 11 other schools. Abby Valdez/Kailr Clements won their first tournament of the year, defeating some good teams along the way.
