Youth football camp this summer will be held the last week of school, from Monday through Wednesday at Badger Field. The camp will be for students in first through fifth grades.

The Quarterback Club has partnered with SnapRaise, an online fundraising tool, to help raise money to support the football program for the summer 7-on-7 activities as well as the upcoming fall season.

The greens at Hancock Park Golf Course are going to be aerated early next month, causing the course to be closed to the public on April 4 and April 5. In addition to the aeration, the greens will also be sanded during this two-day period..

Chance Evans has been the head baseball coach in Lampasas since last season, and on Tuesday night he achieved win No. 100 as a high school baseball coach.

The Badgers had eight lifters compete at the regional powerlifting meet last Saturday, and they finished seventh overall with 12 points in the team standings. Individual lifters who will be competing at the state meet later this month are Westen Reid and Domonique Wooten.

The Badger tennis team traveled to the Vista Ridge area to play in a 23-team tournament last week. The competition was held across five different sites.

The Badgers and Lady Badgers traveled to Llano last Thursday to compete in the Jacket Relays. The Badgers came back with a second-place finish overall with 108.5 points.

The Lampasas Middle School boys’ track team turned in another winning performance. This one came Wednesday at the Dauber Relays in Llano.

The Badgers ended their soccer season on a high note with a shutout win over Florence in wild conditions. The temperature was around 30 degrees, and wind speeds were the harshest of the year, but the Badgers earned the 2-0 victory.
