The Badgers are experiencing some turnover in the offseason that will result in new coaching staff for the football season. Sam Waldrip, the Badgers’ defensive coordinator, and Heath Naragon, the offensive coordinator, both have turned in their letters of resignation.

The game will start around 6:30 p.m.

The Lady Badgers came in third of the 10 teams last Thursday at the Thrall track meet. The girls accumulated a total of 120 points.

Madison Miles is the junior varsity district champion. She played three matches last Friday, with the semifinals being her toughest of the day, head coach Kenneth Peiser said.

The Lady Badgers took on a very good Glen Rose softball team Friday, looking to finish the first half of district play with an unbeaten record. The eventual 15-12 loss for the Lady Badgers was a bit of a heartbreaker because Lampasas pitchers gave up only six earned runs.

The Badgers traveled to Gatesville on Friday for the second of back-to-back games with the Hornets. The Hornets held off Lampasas, winning 4-3, and completing the sweep over the season.

The Lady Badgers won a wild game in Stephenville on Tuesday to move to 3-0 in district action. The contest took an extra inning after Stephenville scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh to tie the game at 15-15.

The Lady Badgers won the district golf tournament, played Monday and Tuesday, with a total score of 685. The girls shot 342 the first day and 343 the second day.

The Badgers hosted the Gatesville Hornets on Tuesday night, when they lost 15-4 in five innings. Lampasas struggled with Lampasas struggled with errors defensively and gave up several walks.
