Building Badgers Youth League invites players entering the first through fifth grade to a youth football camp May 20-22 at Badger Field. The event is from 4-6:30 p.m. each day.


At the Middle School district track meet Friday in Burnet, Lampasas Middle School won the eighth-grade boys’ and eighth-grade girls’ divisions. The seventhgrade girls finished in second place behind Fredericksburg.


Competing at the Hills of Cove Golf Course on Thursday, the Lampasas Middle School boys’ blue team placed third with a score of 194. Individual scores included Coulson Plouff, 45;

The Lady Badgers won their fifth district golf championship in six seasons, finishing the 36-hole event on Monday. They shot 57 strokes lower than runner-up Salado, with scores of 342-339—681.

Kirsten Richards shot 80 for a four-stroke lead in the individual standings after round one.

The Lady Badger varsity golf team took a 23-shot lead in the district golf tournament after the first round of the 36-hole tournament Thursday in Sun City. Round two will be played at the same location, White Wing Golf Club, starting at 8 a.m. Monday.
