The Lampasas golf teams were in Lubbock last week for the regional tournament, and one Lady Badger will continue her season at the state tournament next month. Shaylee Wolfe shot a 77 in the first round and 72 in the second round to finish at 149 and tied for second.

The Hornets competed in the area track meet last week in Blanket. Four competitors finished in the top four of their events to advance to regionals.

Coming Up: Some Badger athletes will travel to Lubbock today for the regional track meet and compete for their chance to advance to state. Coming Up: Lady Badger softball is competing with Graham this weekend in their first round playoff series.

The Badgers won a tight, one-run game over Glen Rose at home on Friday which guaranteed them a chance to make the playoffs. The 5-4 win over the Tigers means the Badgers will at least have a playin game after the regular season.

The Badger and Lady Badger soccer teams held individual banquets last week to honor players after their seasons concluded. For the Lady Badgers, Bella Lindsey was named the Offensive MVP after leading the team in scoring.

The Badgers and Lady Badgers traveled to Brownwood last Friday for the area track meet, and some of those competitors will continue on to the regional meet. Nyla Long finished fourth in the 3200-meter run, beating fellow Lady Badger Abby Valdez by 0.9 seconds with a time of 13:18 to qualify for regionals.

The Badgers traveled to Glen Rose Tuesday night to take on the Tigers in a game that had big playoff implications. After seven competitive innings, Lampasas gave up a run in the bottom of the seventh to lose 5-4.
