Successful softball season celebrated at banquet

The Lady Badger softball team had a successful 2022 season that included finishing second in district, winning a bidistrict championship and advancing to the area round of the playoffs. Last Tuesday night, the players, coaches, parents and others got to celebrate that season, and the players were recognized with various awards.

Middle school soccer competes in district tournament

The Lampasas Middle School boys’ soccer team faced Salado in its first match of the day in the district tournament last week. “Salado put the pressure on early, but with Jaden McElwain back in the mix and Sean Smith in the goal, our defense was able to shut down all the early opportunities,” LMS head coach Edward Gold said.

Inaugural KM two-man scramble set for June 17

The inaugural KM two-man scramble will be held June 17, and proceeds will go toward school supplies for students entering the Lampasas Independent School District for the 2022-2023 school year. The golf tournament was organized by Murray Events Inc., a nonprofit organization established by Kenny Murray of Lampasas.

Two more Lampasas students headed to state rodeo finals

Two more Lampasas students are headed to the state rodeo finals over the next couple of weeks. Katy Ann Turner will compete in Abilene June 5-11 during the Texas High School Rodeo State Finals, and Janie Turner will be in Gonzales May 22-28 for the Junior High School Rodeo State Finals.

Lampasas golfer finishes 16 th in state tournament

A Lady Badger finished as the 16th best 4A golfer in the state of Texas after two days of competition in Kingsland this week. Senior Shaylee Wolfe shot 82 on Monday and 83 on Tuesday for a total score of 165 for the tournament.
