Their mission was classified for decades, but now their sacrifice has received public praise. About 90 people attended a memorial program Saturday to honor former Lampasans Darrell A. Eubanks and John S. Lewis, who died in a plane crash while participating in secret operations for the Central Intelligence Agency in 1961.
