For the fifth time in his career, Lampasas attorney Scott Cooley of Martin Millican Cooley, PLLC has been included in Texas Monthly magazine's list of the state's best lawyers. The annual "Super Lawyers" compilation can be found in the October 2018 issue. 

CrossFit Bluestone and Camp Caylor in Kempner will co-host the organizations’ first community 5K event on Nov. 3.
The 5K run will begin at 9 a.m. at CrossFit Bluestone and ends next door at Camp Caylor. 

Monsters may abound on Halloween night, but Lampasas police are on a mission to keep the evening safe for children and families. 
“We have a good history of safe Halloweens in Lampasas,” Lt. Chuck Montgomery said.

Lampasas beat Austin Eastside Memorial in three sets to end the season 2-8 in district, 10-25 overall. Lampasas beat Eastside in both matches this season.

Texas Parks and Wildlife Game Wardens from left, Adam Clark of Lavaca County, Brent Biggs of Aransas County, Ray Milloway of Lampasas County and Chris Sanchez of Bell County safely evacuated several residents from along the Colorado River on Wednesday.

Former Lampasas resident Rebecca Elaine Biddy, 58, died as a result of this week’s flooding in Llano County, according to her brother-in-law, Ronnie Witcher.
