The 26th Annual Tri-County Toy Run of Central Texas has been set for Dec. 2.
The ride will begin at 8 a.m. at the American Legion Post 133 in Temple, and it will finish at 4 p.m. at the 281 Café and Dance Hall in Lampasas. 

As a 10-year-old Norman, Oklahoma girl returned to class after a school bus crash on U.S. Highway 281 near the Lampasas Municipal Airport, her family has praised the Lampasas community for its support during a difficult time.

Lampasas beat Canyon Lake 34-27 in district football on the road Friday. The win clinched the Badgers' first playoff berth since 2011.

The Badgers held Canyon Lake scoreless in the second half after Lampasas trailed 27-14 at halftime.

Lampasas brings the district’s best pass offense into tonight’s road game against the top overall defense in 14-4A, Canyon Lake. 
The teams are tied for second in the district standings at 2-1, although Canyon Lake (7-1) has a stronger overall record by three games.
