Lometa celebrates National Night Out

National 4-H Week encourages youth to ‘Find your spark’

It’s National 4-H Week, and the Lampasas County 4-H club activities, from sport fishing to fashion design, are underway. Karen DeZarn – the Lampasas County family and health Extension agent – and Heath Lusty – the agriculture and natural resource Extension agent for the county – oversee the Lampasas 4-H program, which gives youth hands-on experience in projects such as art, animal husbandry, shooting, sewing, gardening and farming, cooking, and other practical skills.

Senior center to host free exercise class

The Lampasas Multi-Service Senior Center will host a free exercise program on Wednesdays from 1-2 p.m. The exercise program, sponsored by Standards Home Health, is scheduled the first Wednesday of each month..
