School meal applications available for LISD; two special sign-up dates offered

The Lampasas ISD Nutrition Services Department has announced it will operate the 2022-2023 School Breakfast Program and National School Lunch Program for the next school year. “We strongly encourage all households to complete the 2022-2023 meal application for free and reduced-price school meals,” said Lampasas Nutrition Services Director Jessie Calvin Pittman.

Lampasas members excel at Texas 4-H Roundup

Several 4-H members from Lampasas County participated at the Texas 4-H Roundup and LEAD Academy in College Station June 6-9. Texas 4-H Roundup welcomed more than 1,300 youth to compete in approximately 50 competitions throughout the week.

HOWARD PAYNE UNIVERSITY Howard Payne University in Brownwood recognized 211 students for their academic success during the spring 2022 semester. Students must earn a 4.0 grade-point average to be named to the President’s List, a 3.65-3.99 GPA to be named to the Dean’s List and a 3.5-3.64 GPA to qualify for the Honor Roll.

Reptile Day set for June 17 at library
