Construction is underway for a new Family Life Center at First Street Church of Christ. Church officials said the new building will allow for a larger area to host events and continue to serve a growing congregation.

It is time to prepare for the Lampasas County Museum’s annual Christmas Tree and Gingerbread House contests. The theme this year is “I’ll Be Home for Christmas: A Tribute to First Responders.”

The Lampasas High School Theatre Company invites area residents to come see its production of “Beauty and the Beast Jr.,” based on the popular Disney story. Starring in the production are seniors Ciara Carnes as Belle, Luke Coonrod as Beast, Callie Bekker as Lumiere, Cameron Parker as Cogsworth and James Vasquez as Gaston.

Three singing groups will perform Saturday evening in Lampasas for Songfest 2022. The free concert is from 6-7:30 p.m.

Lampasas Community Gardens has slated special activities for Nov. 12 to celebrate “It’s Fall Y’all!” The event will take place from 10 a.m.

Lampasas Middle School has extended an invitation to veterans and their families to attend a special breakfast on Nov. 10 in the middle school cafeteria, 902 S.

Zach and Krysta Huckabee bought this house at 473 County Road 3010 in 2021. They have been busy ever since with renovations to the structure which dates back to the 1870s. The home is one of four that will be open for the Tour of Homes, planned for Dec. 4 as part of the annual Yuletide festivities in Lampasas. Tour tickets are available from the Lampasas County Museum.
