The agency is urging Texans who receive Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program and Temporary Assistance for Needy Families benefits to monitor purchases on their Lone Star Card through the “Your Texas Benefits” mobile app.

A household of three people was displaced Monday morning after a kitchen fire led to significant damage to their home on East Third Street. Lampasas Fire Chief Jeff Smith said firefighters received a report of a structure fire in the 1400 block of East Third at 6:05 a.m.
