Carly Hall, a Lampasas High School student, earned a fifth-place ribbon in Class 1 crossbred gilts at the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo on Thursday. The San Antonio event had more than 1,000 purebred and crossbred gilts entered.

Lampasas County Democrats will hold their monthly meeting Feb. 26 at 6 p.m. at the Lampasas County Office Building conference room, 409 S. Pecan St. in Lampasas.

At 5 p.m., prior to the regular meeting, two Democratic candidates are scheduled to offer remarks.

Effective March 1, Pedernales Electric Cooperative’s transmission cost of service will increase by $0.00098 per kilowatt-hour to $0.01256 per kWh, a less than 1 percent increase on an average member’s bill.
