A memorial service for Margaret Kerr will be held Jan. 10 at 11 a.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel. She died Dec. 18, 2019.

Margaret Ann Clayton Kerr was born April 16, 1946 in Lewiston, Idaho to Max V Clayton and Marcella Beaudry Clayton. She was one of 11 children and the eldest of six girls. From a very early age, she became known as "Sissy."

She worked in various capacities throughout her life, but she enjoyed her years as a security officer the most.

Margaret was artistic and painted a lot of scenic landscapes for family members. She even painted a baptistry for a church in this area. She enjoyed interior design and loved to assist her family when needed.

Margaret was raised in the Baptist church.

At the time of her death, she was residing at Oak Park Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in San Antonio.

Margaret is survived by three daughters, Jennifer Lowe of San Antonio, Dawn Lowe of Burnet and Krystal Eaton of Prince George, British Columbia, Canada; five brothers, Frank Eaton of Charlie Lake, B.C., Kenneth Clayton of Seguin, Texas, James Clayton of Burnet, Charles Clayton of Richland Springs and Johnny Clayton of Cave City, Arkansas; three sisters, Reba Sue Stewart of Leander, and Connie McSpadden and Maxine Jackson, both of Kingsland; 12 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Margaret was preceded in death by sisters Catherine Irene Clayton Letts and Nancy Jane Clayton Smith.
