Judy Ann Davidson Van Liew was born on Jan. 27, 1952 and died June 24, 2019 at age 67.

A memorial service for her will be held July 12 at 11 a.m. at First United Methodist Church in Lampasas.

She was born in San Marcos to Olan and Florence Davidson and was the younger sister of Helen Davidson Swenson and older sister of Don Davidson.

She grew up in Austin, graduating from McCallum High School in 1970 and attended Durham Business College.

Judy married James Donney Van Liew on April 27, 1990, and they recently celebrated 29 years of marriage.

She resided in Kempner after her retirement from the Texas State Health Department, where she spent many years as a senior laboratory accountant.

Judy was confirmed in Trinity Lutheran Church and accepted Christ as her Savior several years later.

She loved gardening, sewing, crafting, cooking and crossword puzzles. When diagnosed with appendix cancer last year, she fought a tough battle and stayed strong until the end.

Judy is survived by her husband, Don; son, Jonathan Van Liew and wife Stephanie and three children, Ayden, Addis and Baby Girl; her stepson, Steven Van Liew; stepgrandchildren, Lyric, Jovian, Micah and Skyler; her sister Helen and husband Jimmy Swenson; her brother Don and his wife Nita; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
