Gail Marie Phillips, 71, of Copperas Cove died June 30, 2019 at her home.

Her body will be cremated, and a memorial service may be planned for a future date. Sneed Funeral Chapel has charge of arrangements.

Gail was born Aug. 23, 1947 in Kalispell, Montana to Ralph M. Gordon and Bonnie A. (Woodworth) Gordon.

After high school graduation, she attended Chaffey College in Oregon and earned her degree in accounting. She worked in the tech industry as an accountant for many years.

She met Arthur Phillips while in college, and they married on Aug. 28, 1975.

Gail was active in church work at Day Spring Church in Porter, Texas and at Crosspoint Assembly in Easley, South Carolina.

She is survived by her husband, Arthur Phillips; daughters Kelly Marie Smith (June) and Kimberly Dawn Avery; sons Christopher Alan Phillips and Mathew Leroy Phillips (Carrie); grandchildren Robert Smith (Maria), Bradley Fowler Smith, Justin Edward Smith, Hannah Faye Kirk, Tomas Kirk, Emma Kirk, Anthony Phillips, Timothy Phillips, Dawnasa May Elliott, Billy Elliott, and Christian, Hailee, Destiny, Kadence and Finley Phillips; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, David Gordon and Donald Gordon.
