Nora Faye Daniell was born in Briggs on Nov. 24, 1932, the youngest child of George Sebern Daniell and Pebble Fisher Daniell.
She graduated from Briggs School in 1951. Nora then became an LVN, the beginning of a career that included operating room and clinical nursing services that spanned over three decades.
On Feb. 28, 1959, Nora became the bride of Jack LaVaughan Patterson, also of Briggs. They had two sons.
They loved nothing more than spending time with their family and friends, often over a game of 42 following a feast Nora had prepared. They were married until Jack's death on Feb. 9, 2017.
She also loved her little dog Charlie.
Nora died on July 9, 2020 at the Bertram Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center in Bertram. She was 87.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings George Vernon Daniell, Lucille Daniell Guess and Zula Daniell Wilson.
She is survived by sons Marcus LaVaughan Patterson and wife Judy of Lometa, and James Lee Patterson of Leander; grandchildren Mark Lee Patterson of Grand Forks, North Dakota, and Lora Ann Patterson and Jesse Roy Patterson, both of Stephenville, Texas; nephews Barry Wilson and wife Eva of Houston, and Steve Wilson and wife Suzy of Lake Jackson; as well as several cousins, great-nieces and great-nephews.
