Charlotte Bingham Johnson, 77, of Lampasas died at home June 10, 2020, surrounded by her family.
Graveside service will be June 13 at 10 a.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery. Come-and-go visitation is available June 12 until 5 p.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel.
Charlotte was born in Phoenix, Arizona on June 16, 1942 to Joseph Marion Bingham and Helen Marie (Farris) Bingham.
After graduating from Pecos High School in 1960, she moved to Midland, Texas. She later moved to Lampasas, where she has lived for 57 years.
Charlotte was employed at Wittenburg Real Estate in Lampasas and at Pershing Park Elementary School in Killeen. She was a supporter of Little Dribblers Basketball Association and the Lampasas Tennis Association.
She also was a member of First United Methodist Church, where she was involved in the CAPS program and served on the Bereavement Committee.
Known in the Lampasas community and to her grandchildren as “Cha Cha,” she loved having her grandchildren for “Cha Cha Summer Camp” and traveling to all their activities. Every Christmas she delivered Advent calendars to the children of friends and family.
She loved spending time with her sisters, antiquing at Round Top or anytime they could find to spend together. Holiday gatherings and helping friends with decorating projects were also her favorite activities.
Charlotte is survived by her husband, Bobby Johnson; son, Bradley Johnson (Candace) and their children Carter, Chelsi and grandchild Aria; daughters Daina Zachary (Greg) and their children Natalie and Rachel, and Donna Dozier (David) and their children Doak and Charlotte; sisters Sherry Hoelscher (Frank), Kathy Walker (Jimmy) and Addie Wootan (Bill); and many nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church CAPS program or Lampasas Public Library.
