Funeral services for Frances Evangeline “Vangie” Freeman, 90, of Lampasas will be Jan. 26 at 2 p.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel. Minister Rocky Moncus will officiate. Burial will follow in Watson Cemetery.

Visitation is Jan. 25 from 5-7 p.m., also at Sneed Funeral Chapel.

Mrs. Freeman died Jan. 20, 2019 at AdventHealth Central Texas (formerly Metroplex) hospital in Killeen.

She was born Nov. 24, 1928 in Burnet County to Leslie W. Cox and Lillian Pearl (Hayden) Cox. She spent her youth and high school years in Lampasas.

She married Alvin R. Freeman on Aug. 30, 1952.

Mrs. Freeman was a housewife and mother, and she sold Avon products for 40 years. She was a member of First Street Church of Christ in Lampasas, where she taught Sunday School to 4-year-olds for many years.

She was preceded in death by her brother, James Cox, and by her husband.

Survivors include two daughters, Francine Freeman of Dallas and Alice Freeman of Lampasas; a brother, Billy Cox and wife Patricia of Whitney; and several nieces and nephews.
