Sarah Lee (Chandler) Douglas died on April 30, 2020.
Burial is May 5 at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen. Sneed Funeral Chapel in Lampasas has charge of arrangements.
Sarah Lee was born Sept. 11, 1926 to Mary Alice (DuBois) and "Doc" Chandler of Corpus Christi.
She wrote the alma mater for Corpus Christi High School, served as president of the Republican Women's Club and was honored by Gov. Rick Perry for her many years of service as a hospital volunteer.
Survivors include her daughter, Dianne (Douglas) Harvey and husband Beau of Spicewood; grandsons Tony Johnson of San Antonio, Coy Harvey of Colorado, Paul Page Douglas IV and wife Esmerelda of Corpus Christi, and John Douglas and wife Macy of Austin; granddaughters Paige (Douglas) Shelton and husband Rusty of Spicewood, Joanne (Foxx) Thomas and husband Michael of Dripping Springs, and Leanne (Foxx) Chavez of Belton; as well as numerous greatgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, retired Brig. Gen. Paul Page Douglas Jr.; her son, Paul Page Douglas III; and daughter Suzanne (Douglas) Foxx Browder.
