Dorothy Mae Collins, 92, of Lampasas died Dec. 19, 2018 at Lampasas Nursing and Rehab.
A memorial service will be held Dec. 22 at 11:30 a.m. at First Street Church of Christ. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. at the church building.
Dorothy’s body will be cremated. Sneed Funeral Chapel has charge of arrangements.
She was born April 3, 1926 in Killeen, the daughter of Guy Willis Reding and Clara Barton (Black) Reding.
Dorothy was a lifelong resident of Lampasas. She graduated from Lampasas High School and later married Boyd Van Clary. She was a homemaker and caretaker of Mr. Clary and, after his death, of her second husband J.R. Collins.
Dorothy was a member of First Street Church of Christ. She worked quietly to meet the needs of her family, friends, the community and fellow church members.
She is survived by her sons, Harrell Clary, Charles Clary (Linda) and Boyd Clary (Sheila); Marilyn Clary; daughters, Kathy Hyatt (Gary) and Sharleen Alderson; sister, Nelda Vann; 19 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by both husbands, two grandchildren and her brother.
Memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
