Kerri Ann Blanton died Sept. 8, 2019.

She was born March 9, 1951 to Betty and Curtis Franks of Corpus Christi. Her family soon after moved to Houston, where she was raised. She was a student at Texas State University.

She met and married Tom M. Blanton in 1972, and two sons were added to their family.

Kerri was outgoing and never seemed to meet a stranger. She was an avid tennis player and a member of the Pecan Grove Plantation tennis team in Richmond, Texas. One of her great loves was the Texas Aggies, and she served as president of the Tarrant County Aggie Mom’s Club.

Holidays, summers and weekends were spent in Lake Travis, enjoying the outdoors and spending time at their lake house. She loved watching wildlife and taking long drives in the country. Kerri also loved antiques and chocolate.

Among her adventures was a move to Mansfield in 2001, then in 2016 a fulltime move to their ranch in Lampasas where she and Tom renovated the original farmhouse on the property.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Kerri is survived by her husband of Lampasas; sons Thomas Michael Blanton Jr.of Fort Worth and Jeffrey Allen Blanton of Vail, Colorado; granddaughters Hallie Blanton and Kaylee Blanton of Fort Worth; and brothers Jeff Franks and Gary Franks of Houston.
