Frankie Florine Alexander, 99, of Lampasas died Nov. 30, 2019 at Lampasas Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Graveside funeral service will be Dec. 3 at 2 p.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery. Sneed Funeral Chapel has charge of arrangements.

Florine was born May 14, 1920 in Hillsboro to John Franklin Climer and Myrtle Ivy (McDonald) Climer.

She moved with her family to Lampasas in 1933 from San Saba. Florine graduated from Lampasas High School in 1937.

She married Joe Alexander in Lampasas.

Florine was a homemaker and later taught kindergarten at First Baptist Preschool from 1969 until 1985. She was a member of First Baptist Church for many years.

She is survived by two children, daughter Dianne Baker and husband Winston of Lampasas, and son Thomas Wren Alexander of Lampasas; four grandchildren, Vicki Ware, Ronny Baker, Seve Alexander and John Alexander; five great-grandchildren, Mindi, Tamara, Bart, Colton and Austyn; and four greatgreat-grandchildren, Jax, Kage, Anson and Grant.

Florine was preceded in death by her husband in 1993; son Joe Jon Alexander in 1954; her brother James Donald Climer in 2002; and by her sister, Mary Lou McFarland, in 2003.
