Danny Ray Ware, 72, of Lometa died Dec. 13, 2018 at home.
Graveside funeral service was held Dec. 17 at Lometa Cemetery. Sneed Funeral Chapel in Lampasas had charge of arrangements.
He was born Aug. 3, 1946 in Altus, Oklahoma, the son of Richard Henry Ware and Lennie Vera (Edwards) Ware.
Danny served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam and retired from the military. He then served in law enforcement for many years.
He later moved to Lometa and was a rancher. He was a member of Disabled American Veterans, American Legion Post 116, and NRA and TSRA.
He is survived by nephews, Mallory Ware (Amanda) of Mississippi, Ricky Ware (Kathleen) of Virginia, and Donald M. Biggs and Larry Biggs, both of Lometa; a niece, Diane Robinson of Lampasas; and great-nieces, Sandy Johnson of Lockhart and Kathy Biggs of Lometa.
Danny was preceded in death by a sister, Louise Biggs; a brother, Richard A. Ware; and by a nephew, John Ware.
