Clarence Leo Shed died on Nov. 19, 2019.
A memorial service will be held Jan. 11, 2020 at 11 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church with Brother Dale Hunter officiating. Shed’s body was cremated.
He was born June 24, 1940 in Lampasas to Jessie and Ida Mae Shed.
He attended schools in Lampasas and graduated in 1958. He worked as a stone mason, was enlisted in the National Guard and served as a fireman for San Antonio for 31 years.
He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Lampasas, where he was the men’s Sunday School teacher. He loved serving the Lord and working for his church. He also loved fiddle music. He would go to fiddle contests and was involved in taking lessons. He tried to live his life as a kind, loving and giving man. He loved fishing, camping and restoring old cars.
He married Marie Mixon on Nov. 6, 2013.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Edward, Gale and Walter; and by his ex-wife, Rebecca Shed.
He is survived by his wife, Marie Shed; sister, Mattie Mae Deim; a brother, Hubert Shed; son, Doug Shed; two daughters, Nancy Williams and Deborah Poore; two stepsons, Bill Mixon and Glen Mixon; two stepdaughters, Dorsey Crane and Gwen Klescweski; and numerous grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.
