Henry Edward “Hank” Sharp, 89, of Lampasas died June 17, 2018 at his home.

Graveside funeral service was June 21 at Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation and viewing took place June 20 at Sneed Funeral Chapel.

Mr. Sharp was born in Brady to Henry James Sharp and Leapey Jane (Cox) Sharp.

He enlisted in the U.S. Navy immediately after high school graduation. He served from August 1948 until July 1952. He was very proud of his service to his country.

He worked as a technician in Alaska before returning to Texas, where he managed a Texaco Service Center. He later served as a police officer in Lampasas for five years.

Mr. Sharp later worked for Hoffpauir Chevrolet and retired from there.

He was known to close friends and family as “red bird” because of his love for singing and whistling. He loved being outdoors. He loved most of all his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

He is survived by his wife, Juanita Sharp; son, Steve Sharp; daughter, Jackie Boxburger; and seven grandchildren.

Mr. Sharp was preceded in death by two brothers, Henry Elden Sharp and Henry James Sharp Jr.; and by three sisters, Lois Oleta Beam, Maretta May Cain and Norma Lea Blair.
