Albert Bert Rogers, 86, of Lampasas died July 28, 2018 at his home.
Memorial graveside with full military honors will be held Sept. 14 at 11 a.m. at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen.
Sneed Funeral Chapel in Lampasas has charge of arrangements.
Mr. Rogers was born Feb. 22, 1932 in Lubbock to Hobert Rogers and Willie Marie (Bachelor) Rogers.
He served in the U.S. Army for 23 years, retiring as staff sergeant. He was a helicopter crew chief and a talented mechanic who could repair anything. His duty stations included Germany, South Korea, Vietnam, Virginia and Fort Hood.
He is survived by three sons, Stirling Rogers, Vince Rogers and Ellis Rogers; two sisters, Willadean Rogers and Patricia Rogers; one brother, Alvis Rogers; three grandchildren, Tyler, Stephanie and Glenn; and a greatgranddaughter, Heidi.
Albert was preceded in death by two brothers, Wayne Rogers and Milton Rogers.
