Bobby Dale Poe died Sept. 13, 2018 at the age of 91. He had spent his last days at Shady Shores Nursing Home in San Saba.

He was born April 8, 1927 to Elmer H. Poe and Alice Arrowwood in Moline, Texas.

He is survived by his wife, Doris H. Poe; his children, Bobby D. Poe Jr. (Amy), Brent Poe (Lori), Beverly Maddox (Jim), Barry Poe (Tammy), Betsy Poe and Bryce Poe; his three grandchildren, Bobby D. Poe III, Benjamin and Amy Poe; stepchildren, Clifford Griffin (Gwen), Daniel Griffin (Nancy), Kae Maceyra (Bill) and Douglas Griffin (Bonnie); and numerous step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also is survived by two sisters, Joyce Scogin and Lora Mae Bryant (JT); and by sister-inlaw Velma Poe.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Raymond “Corky” Poe and Donald Poe, and brother-in-law Gaylord Scogin.

Bobby Poe spent his life farming and ranching. He was a member of the Texas Farm Bureau, and he had served as president of the Lampasas County Farm Bureau and on the local board of directors for many years.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
