A viewing for Francis N. Metoyer Sr. of Lampasas will be Jan. 13 from 6-8 p.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel. Mr. Metoyer died Jan. 4, 2020 in Temple at the VA hospital. He was 82.
Funeral service will be Jan. 14 at 11 a.m. at Victory Baptist Church, 502 W. Business 190 in Copperas Cove. Pastor Erick Knight, Pastor Mickey Robinson and Pastor Larry Aaron will officiate. Burial will follow at 2 p.m. at the Central Texas Veterans Cemetery in Killeen.
A reception/fellowship lunch will immediately follow the burial at Golden Corral Buffet & Grill, 1420 Central Texas Expy. in Killeen.
Mr. Metoyer was born Feb. 18, 1937 in Natchitoches, Louisiana, the third son of Sidney & Elouise Metoyer.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Maxine (Aaron) Metoyer; and brothers Ray Metoyer and Randolph Metoyer. He had lived in Lampasas for over 50 years. All six of his children graduated from Lampasas High School. Mr. Metoyer served in the U.S. Army and worked for IBM until retirement. He was a member of Victory Baptist Church.
Survivors include four sons and two daughters, Larry C. Aaron of Killeen, Gary W. Aaron of Lampasas, Francis N. Metoyer Jr. of Arlington, Louis N. Metoyer of Copperas Cove, Elouise D. Carriere of Katy and Lilla Von Duhon of Raleigh, North Carolina; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
